Hear from our happy customers

If you struggle with your skin looking shiny by midday, it’s likely that you’ve got oily skin.

The best skin care for oily skin has a balance of removing excess sebum without drying out the skin. In the past, oily skin care products focused on stripping skin of all oil - but now we know this isn’t the best way.

The Ideal Oily Skin Care Routine

Like all skin types, the basics of a skincare routine still include a cleanser, exfoliator, and moisturiser, plus a few extras! However, we’ve got to look closer at the formulas to ensure we’ve got the right products for oily skin.

Cleanser: Gel cleansers are an excellent option for sweeping away excess sebum and debris, and bonus points if it contains salicylic acid or clay to reduce sebum production.

Exfoliator: An exfoliator, especially one formulated with salicylic acid is among some of the best skincare for oily skin - it works wonders to balance sebum and minimise pores for a shine-free face.

Toner: Toners are a way to balance skin’s pH after cleansing, but they have one more bonus for oily skin - helping to manage excess oil. Niacinamide is a superstar ingredient included in many toners and is perfect for oily skin.

Mask: A holy grail product of oily skincare products has to be a clay mask - clay is super absorbent and works well to absorb sebum and impurities from pores.

Moisturiser: The best moisturiser for an oily skin care routine will have a gel or gel-cream texture; traditional creams can easily feel too heavy for the skin, whereas a gel texture will feel just right.
